SPECIAL FUEL TAX UPDATE FOR
“PROFESSIONAL DIESEL”

We inform you that the REFUND on PROFESSIONAL DIESEL from 1 January 2012 in Spain has undergone a change.
The new government has passed a package of urgent measures (Royal Decree-Law, of 30 December), among which is the sixth final provision, amending article 52 twice of Act 38/1992, of 28 December, on Special Taxes.
Until now the refund for professional diesel was 0.029 €/litre (29 € for 1,000 litres), but with the modification imposed by this decree-law the new refund will be 0.001 €/litre (1 € for 1,000 litres), with which the maximum annual refund per vehicle will be 50 €.
